Flew around the planet till I found a trading post, Ushia Outpost. Inside I met Pure Entity Hichesk. They asked me if I knew the Atlas. They showed a shape I immediately recognized as such. He reacted excitedly but also a bit careful, almost scared, as if speaking of it carried weight. He bowed for me and gifted me a hyperdrive upgrade, only C-class but it still meant a lot coming from a small-time trader like him. Business surely isn’t booming on Alkeline XII, especially not in this hidden trading post. I thanked him honestly.
At the trade terminal I invested in the, often hard to find but in this low economy system purchasable cheap, Experimental Power Fluid, which comes in small yellow metallic containers. Corrosion-resistant barrels of an experimental power fluid. One barrel of this highly volatile concoction is enough to power a space station for weeks on end. I invested in 68 barrels, the highest amount they had, and spent 1,737,279 units. I spent my first few years as a scrapper and starship dealer and it made me rich, so an investment like this feels almost routine now, even out here.
I spent the rest of the day conversing with the two Korvax, talking about life on this planet while I told them about my adventures in this galaxy. They listened in that quiet, attentive way they have, processing more than they show. I learned some new words too, Korvax for Many, Vy’keen, Make, Peace, Stronger and Truth, each one adding another small piece to the puzzle of understanding them.
